Moving from ERP to WorkFlow

During 80s-90s, ERP application getting so famous in the IT world, it became something must have for a corporation to be recognise as "Intelligent, organize"...
ERP Application always claim to be implementing industry "Best Practice".
After a few years of implementation, most of the company start to realize ERP might not be the right solution for their business, as those ERP application has limit their new business rules or new operation procedure simply because they need to follow the "Pre-Set" rules in the ERP application.
In order for them to add in the new rules, business owner has to go through repeative round of complex and long development, testing and deployment cycle. Sometime they can't event add in their custom rules as it is not the "Common best pratice" in the market as per claimed by the application provider.
Then, a better application solution direction has started to grow in the business world, everyone now start talking about how to improve their business work flow, how to quicky monitor and customize their work flow according to their unique company operation. People realize best market practice not necessary = best implementation to their company.

Same to My company, management had decide to move on to workflow. I'm lucky enough to involved in the Company Group process re-engineering process. The main objective here is to improve the company overall business flow and hopefully by doing so, we can improve our company profit. One of the session of the process re-engineering, we had to decide on what software to use to develop our work flow.
I had access to a few process flow software, for an example: Joget, Skelta, process maker & etc. Each of them has their pro & cons. In the end we had decide the Skelta as our development tools. It is just because our company development team are more comfortable to the work flow application that can easily integrate with others .net application.
After we had purchase the software, the development start. Then I realize Skelta software actually still lack of a community pool to allow all the skelta user to communicate actively. Don't get me wrong, Skelta support is great, they are prompt, reponsible but sometime you cannot espect much from them when it come to contribution of idea/solution. They have forum for the skelta, but the user just not active.
Therefore I decide to write my own blog, all regarding solution of the skelta to certain issue. Hopefully this can help the future new comer has a easier start on skelta development.
Hope everyone enjoy staying here. :D
